The armor that the Hulk will be wearing in Thor: Ragnarok has been revealed at the San Diego Comic Con 2016. You can see the armour here: https://mobile.twitter.com/AgentM/status/756880448186384385.
Eagle-eyed comic fans will already be pointing out similarities with the one Bruce Banner wore in the Planet Hulk arc.
In this storyline, the Hulk is sent into space, to the alien world Sakaar, sustained with gladiatorial combat when his spaceship malfunctions. The green beast, wearing this armor, manages to become king of this world after dethroning the ruling dictator.
However, after his spaceship explodes destroying the plant and killing Hulk’s new wife and his unborn child, Hulk goes back to Earth with a group a like-minded survivor called ‘the Warbound’. He commences battles with almost every hero he can find, starting a war of ages, which becomes known as ‘World War Hulk’.
The Planet Hulk storyline is one of the most well-known Hulk stories, and was even adapted into an animated movie.
It is almost inevitable that Planet Hulk will not be the only storyline in the film, as Director Taika Waititi has already confirmed that the film will mainly focus on co-operation between Thor and Banner, with some speculation also regarding the Infinity Gems and Gauntlet.
Thor: Ragnarok stars Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo and Tom Hiddleston. It is set to be released on October 27th 2017. Watch the trailer below:
