Jared Leto is the latest cast member to join the yet untitled sequel to the 1982 cult movie, Blade Runner.
Alcon Entertainment have stated that Leto is set to play a brand new character within the film, with details of his character yet to be revealed.
Leto will be performing alongside Ryan Gosling, and original star Harrison Ford who is reprising his role of police officer Rick Deckard. The cast also includes Dave Bautista, Robin Wright, Ana de Armas, Slyvia Hoeks, Carla Juri, Mackenzie David and Barkhard Abdi.
The sequel is to be directed by Denis Villeneuve, who has described the film as an extension of the original. The film is set to be released in October 2017.
