A first-look producing deal with Warrner Bros has been signed by Margot Robbie – including a Harley Quinn movie featuring other DC female characters.
She is set to act in and produce a film that will involve the female heroes and villains of DC Comics – this includes Batgirl, Huntress and the Black Canary.
Warner Bros seem to be focusing on storytelling by females currently – Robbie hinted earlier this year that Suicide Squad wouldn’t be the only sighting we’d get of Harley Quinn.
This would be the second project of its kind for DC Comics in terms of films – Gal Gadot will be appearing in a solo film for Wonder Woman following on from her Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice appearance.
Wonder Woman will be released June 2nd 2017 and Gadot has said that it could only be made by a woman: “It’s a story about a girl becoming a woman. I think only a woman can be able to tell the story in the right way,” she said.
