London electro-folk band Crystal Fighters have released details of their upcoming album titled Everything Is My Family, as well as dropping another taste of said album with ‘Ways I Can’t Tell’.
The band announced earlier today via their official Facebook page that their upcoming third album will be on shelves 21st October, and will feature the new “crazy” song ‘Ways I Can’t Tell’, as well as recently released single ‘All Night’.
In their message to fans, Crystal Fighters explained that their new music has been recorded all over the globe including Basque Country – a place that the band have a fond connection to – the Spanish-speaking Canary Islands, New York and Nicaragua. They added: “It’s been an incredible journey; so much fun, so much learning and discovery of new ways of making sound, and we are so thankful for everyone who helped us along the way and to all of you for your support while we were out there.”
‘Ways I Can’t Tell’, which will feature on the LP, is a tropical beat- track bringing in 90s rave vibes, reminiscent of their last album Cave Rave. Speaking to NME the band said that they: “just came up with that tropical-sounding riff and chords on those instruments, writing overlooking the rough Atlantic Ocean on the north side of the island watching the waves beating against the shore.”
Everything Is My Family is out 21st October. Listen to the band’s latest offering ‘Ways I Can’t Tell’ below:
