Warner Brothers today have confirmed the DVD and Blu-ray release dates for the extended cut of DC’s Suicide Squad film.
Released in August, the film had a polar reception, and general consensus appeared to be heavy editing had damaged the film overall.
Although a release date of 15th November (Digital HD) and 13th December (Blu-Ray) was confirmed for the extended cut, the trailer does only highlight a few new moments from the cinematic cut.
The release is expected to be similar to that of Batman Vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice Ultimate Edition in terms of the amount of extra content included. In addition, fans can expect to see Jared Leto’s Joker, of whom was claimed over one hour of footage was scrapped. Expectation will also be placed on finally seeing David Ayer’s original version of the film, which was heavily edited during later production.
Suicide Squad is directed by David Ayer and stars: Will Smith, Jared Leto, Margot Robbie, Joel Kinnaman, Viola Davis, Jai Courtney, Jay Hernandez, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Ike Barinholtz, Scott Eastwood and Cara Delevingne. Check out the trailer for the Extended Cut below:
