Bryan Cranston, best known for playing drug kingpin Walter White in hit show Breaking Bad today chilled listeners of Scott Mills and Chris Stark’s BBC Radio 1 show with his own version of Little Mix’s newest number one hit.
Cranston, who was appearing on the show to discuss his own career found time to offering his own haunting chill to the lyrics of the song, such as: “This is a shout out to my ex/ Heard he in love with some other chick/ Yeah yeah, that hurt me, I’ll admit.” Cranston continued to channel Walter White through the next verse; “Forget that boy, I’m over it/ I hope she gettin’ better sex/ Hope she ain’t fakin’ it like I did, babe,” leaving both Chris and Scott trying not to totally break composure and burst out laughing.
The band clearly also saw the funny side of events, tweeting: “@BryanCranston just read the lyrics to @LittleMix’s #ShoutOutToMyEx Heisenberg-style, and we need a lie down @Chris_Stark @Scott_Mills.” The song itself flew to the top of the charts when it was released on 16th October 2016, and is the fourth number one single for the girl-band. The band had recently confirmed the song was aimed at Perrie Edward’s ex-fiance Zayn Malik, who had broken up with her in 2015.
