The newest trailer for Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life will leave fans drooling, as it provides the most in depth look at the reboot so far.
Fans will be happy to hear that the trailer includes all the original cast, including Sookie, (Melissa McCarthy) who fans had feared would not return for the reboot following poor communication between McCarthy and the director, Amy Sherman-Palladino.
Familiar catchphrases and attitudes will quickly make it feel as though the show was never off our screens, though the nod to Edward Hermann’s (Who played Richard Gilmore) death, and the new jokes made, such as one concerning Batman vs. Superman, remind viewers that these new episodes are based on modern culture, and in current times.
The trailer explores all three generations of Gilmore women as they seek happiness in their lives. Lorelai is still dating Luke, however the happily-ever-after might not last long as she appears discontented. Rory is in a similarly precarious position: she has lost her direction in life, and suffers from fears of where her future will take her. Following Richard Gilmore’s demise, Emily Gilmore has become a widow, and the trailer infers that this loss will have a profound affect on the character, causing her to experience the most change of all three Gilmore women in the reboot.
Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life is scheduled to be released on Netflix on 25th November 2016. In the meantime fans can prepare by catching up on all 7 seasons of Gilmore Girls on Netflix.
