The pop trio Busted will be signing copies of their new album Night Driver from 5:30pm today at HMV Above Bar Street in Southampton’s city centre.
The appearance marks the beginning of the band’s collective comeback in terms of album releases, with Night Driver being their first release in just over thirteen years. The band, comprised of Charlie Simpson alongside James Bourne and Matt Willis appeared on the X Factor Results Show on Sunday evening, debuting their new sounds.
Night Driver, the band’s first release since 2003’s A Present For Everyone has the distinctly Busted feel, with a blend of 80s classic sound added in. The album contains lead track ‘On What You’re On’, in addition to ‘New York’ and the titular track ‘Night Driver’.
The boy-band had previously had a string of successful no. 1 singles, as well as numerous world tours before splitting up in 2005. They briefly formed alongside fellow boy-band McFly several years ago to form super-group McBusted.
450 fans will be able to attend the special HMV event in their Above Bar Street store this evening, with fans who buy Night Driver given special golden wristbands which guarantee entry.
