EuropaCorp have today released the first trailer for their upcoming sci-fi drama The Circle, based on Dave Eggers’ novel of the same name, set for release on 28th April 2017.
The film, starring Emma Watson, Tom Hanks, John Boyega, Karen Gillan and Patton Oswalt, tells the story of a young woman, Mae (played by Watson), who lands a job at a powerful tech company called The Circle but soon finds that things may not be exactly as they seem and that the dream job may not be as idyllic as first thought.
Released in 2013, Eggers’ novel has received positive acclaim from reviewers and has been praised for its timely observations and comments. This adaptation is directed and written by James Ponsoldt (The Spectacular Now, The End of the Tour).
The Circle, directed by James Ponsoldt, is set for US release on 28th April 2017. A UK release date is yet to be confirmed. You can watch the trailer below.
