Fox have today released the first full trailer for their upcoming Planet of the Apes reboot movie War for the Planet of the Apes, set for release in July 2017.
Following on from the critical and commercial successes of both Rise and Dawn of the Planet of the Apes, War for the Planet of the Apes will tell the story of the final battle between the genetically evolved apes, led by Caesar (Andy Serkis), and the human survivors of the Simian flu, led by the ruthless Colonel (Woody Harrelson).
The trailer shows us some footage from battles at what seems to be the apes’ compound from Dawn… as well as a new militant human camp, along with returning characters Caesar and Maurice (Karin Konoval), and of course Harrelson’s intimidating Colonel, Matt Reeves returns as director.
The film is set for release in the UK on 14th July 2017, you can watch the trailer yourself below.
