Craig David has announced he’ll be playing Southampton’s Ageas Bowl this September.
The Southampton-born star is coming to the city on Friday September 1st, and announced the news in a press conference attended by The Edge this afternoon.
The cricket ground is located on the outskirts of the city, with a capacity for around 50,000. Little Mix announced they were playing the stadium last month, their show being on Sunday 9th July.
The comeback star also spoke about his nomination at the Brits, the feeling of ‘coming home’ to Southampton, and about being too old for all-nighters – though you can read all of that in our special Q&A, up on the site later today.
Craig David has seen a monumental comeback in the last few years, and played Southampton’s Common People festival last May. This return album, Following My Intuition, was released last September to critical acclaim. You can read The Edge‘s review of the album here.
