The first teaser for Deadpool 2 has been released as part of the promotion for Logan.
Our first brief glimpse of the Merc with the Mouth’s latest outing is entitled One Good Deed, and sees Ryan Reynold’s anti-hero spotting a violent robbery on an old man, and attempting to prevent it. In typical Deadpool fashion, this naturally involves lambasting another character and this time it is Superman’s turn to be roasted.
The katana-wielding red-suited Wilson heads into a phone-booth to perform his mythical change- however, unlike Christopher Reeve and co. who simply used to be able to unbutton the shirt and be done, for Deadpool it is a lot harder and a lot more time-consuming. So much so, by the time he heroically confronts the criminal, complete with epic-Superman music… The criminal has escaped and the old dude is dead.
Still, nothing ventured and nothing gained for Deadpool, who proceeds to go to the cadaver, make a few witty quips about how Logan could have saved him (conveniently the event takes place next to a cinema showing the eponymous Hugh Jackman film) and eat the poor deceased man’s food. Ben and Jerrys ice-cream, which will mean a lot more to comic fans.
Once more, Reynolds is at his best in a role clearly suited for him. Deadpool 2 is due to be released in 2018. Check out the hilarious teaser below:
