FX have released the first proper trailer for season three of their crime anthology show Fargo, set to return on April 19th.
The minute-long trailer focuses on the lead characters of Emmit and Ray Stusey (twin brothers played by Ewan McGregor), police chief Gloria Burgle (Carrie Coon), Ray’s ex-con girlfriend Nikki Swango (Mary Elizabeth Winstead) and V.M. Vargas (David Thewlis). Story details still remain vague and despite some glimpses of the traditional Fargo beats, there is little to go on in heading into 19th April.
In addition to these main cast members, Michael Stuhlbarg, Jim Gaffigan, Scoot McNairy and Thomas Mann join the ensemble, series creator Noah Hawley will continue as writer and part-time director for the series. Hawley has confirmed that this new series will connect into the two previous stories told in seasons one and two, however no direct character relations have been confirmed as was the case with the previous seasons.
Fargo Season 3 premieres on 19th April 2017. Watch the trailer below:
