Marvel have confirmed the setting and the identity of the main villain for Captain Marvel at Marvel’s San-Diego Comic-Con panel over the weekend.
Kevin Feige, chief of Marvel Studios, revealed that the film, which will be released in two years time will introduce Brie Larson’s titular character in the 1990s, and will feature Samuel L. Jackson reprising his role as Nick Fury, but without the eyepatch.
Marvel’s first movie to be set around a female lead will also feature the Skrulls, an intergalactic race of green shape shifters as the main antagonist. Also showcased was concept art of the newest superhero to join Marvel’s ranks, showing off her costume and the initial Skrull designs.
