British boyband The Wanted have announced that they will be embarking on a world tour in February 2014. They will play a number of shows across Europe and North America, kicking off in Cologne, Germany, before performing in 13 UK cities in March, including London, Birmingham and Belfast. Although it’s the band’s biggest tour to date, it’s expected that more dates will be added throughout the run.

16th March– The SSE Hydro, Glasgow
18th March – Phones 4U Arena, Manchester
20th March – LG Arena, Birmingham
21st March – Motorpoint Arena, Sheffield
22nd March – Metro Radio Arena, Newcastle
24th March – O2 Arena,Dublin
25th March – Odyssey Arena, Belfast
27th March – The O2, London
28th March – Motorpoint Arena, Cardiff
29th March – The Brighton Centre, Brighton
31st March – BIC, Bournemouth
1st April – Capital FM Arena, Nottingham
The tour will follow the release of The Wanted’s third studio album, Word of Mouth, which will be available from Monday 4th November. The teen favourites will perform material from their new album alongside chart toppers such as 2011’s ‘Glad You Came’, which achieved a Number 1 position in the UK singles charts.
The boyband’s debut album The Wanted and their second album Battleground both held Top Ten positions in the UK album charts. Band member Tom Parker is confident about the new release, saying:
“We think it’s our strongest album to date. We can’t wait for our fans to hear it.”
