This week sees the return of Jessie Ware with her new single ‘Tough Love’; the title track of her upcoming second album and follow-up to Devotion. Elsewhere in the round-up, OneRepublic release another single from their album, Native, entitled ‘Love Runs Out’ which follows the likes of ‘Counting Stars’. Bands Bear in Heaven and Twin Peaks also return with follow-up albums to enjoy this Summer.

Bear in Heaven – Time Is Over One Day Old
Brooklyn-based synth-rock band, Bear in Heaven, return with their fourth studio album. Time Is Over One Day Old is the band’s follow-up to 2012 LP I Love You, It’s Cool which produced the single ‘The Reflection of You‘. Time Is Over One Day Old sees the introduction of new drummer Jason Nazary who is seen to bring the band’s new record a distinctive energy. ‘Time Between’, the first single to be lifted from their upcoming album, received its video yesterday (1st August) which portrays New York’s gritty nightlife. Time Is Over One Day Old is due for release 5th August via Dead Oceans.
Twin Peaks – Wild Onion
Twin Peaks, another American band, are also back with a follow-up album. The four-piece began their musical career aged only 19 with début album Sunken which was released last year. The band return this month with Wild Onion, a 16-song LP promising a bright lo-fi soundtrack to summer. ‘Flavor’ is the début single from upcoming album, the video for which can be viewed below. Wild Onion is available for purchase 5th August via Grand Jury.

Jessie Ware – ‘Tough Love’
The British singer-songwriter is back with her new single ‘Tough Love’. Back in August 2012, Ware released her début studio album, Devotion, which was met with critical acclaim as well as securing fifth place in the UK charts upon its release. The album spawned a total of seven singles which were released across the years of 2011 to 2013, including the likes of ‘If You’re Never Gonna Move’ and ‘Wildest Moments’. However, Ware is yet to have achieved a top 40 UK hit; could her new single, ‘Tough Love’, prove itself to be more commercially-successful than previous singles now Ware is an established musical name? OneRepublic – ‘Love Runs Out’
‘Love Runs Out’ is the fifth single to be lifted from the American pop-rock’s album, Native. Now three albums in (Dreaming Out Loud being their début and Waking Up serving as a follow-up), OneRepublic initially began their musical career back in 2007 and are still managing to vigorously take on the charts. With the single’s predecessors consisting of top ten single ‘If I Lose Myself’ and the number one single ‘Counting Stars’, ‘Love Runs Out’ has a lot to live up to. The new single has already entered the top 20 in the US, but whether it can make a dent in the UK charts is another question. The track is available for purchase tomorrow.
