Meghan Trainor has incredibly stayed at the top of the singles charts once again with ‘All About That Bass’, it being her fourth consecutive week at the top of the UK singles chart. Ed Sheeran moved up two places this week with his latest single ‘Thinking Out Loud’. Next there’s an unbelievable re-entry from Waze & Odyssey & R. Kelly with ‘Bump & Grind’ which has risen an impressive 160 places to gain third position.
‘Bang Bang’ from power trio Jessie J, Ariana Grande and Nicki Minaj has jumped up another place to reach number four. Following just behind comes Taylor Swift with ‘Shake It Off’ who has moved down three places from last week – although still proves popular as it’s the tenth week her track has featured in the charts!
Once more Jeremih, Calvin Harris, and Sigma are in the top ten; but in at number nine comes a funky new single from Fuse ODG: ‘T.I.N.A.’ Finally, Sam Smith completes the top ten with his velvety voice in ‘I’m Not The Only One’, having moved up two places.
In the album charts it comes as no surprise that Ben Howard has swept in with his new album I Forget Where We Were straight to the highly coveted number one spot. Slipknot steal the number two position with yet another new entry into the UK album charts. X from Ed Sheeran has moved down one place to third, closely followed by yet another new entry from Neil Diamond with Melody Road.
A third new entry from Status Quo Aquostic reaches fifth position, an album of solely acoustic and striped back classic tracks that their fans are clearly loving. Despite Sam Smith’s jump up in the singles charts his album In The Lonely Hour has moved down three positions to number six. Ella Henderson follows with another drop: she moves down six places with her successful release Chapter One.
The rest of the album charts feature George Ezra with Wanted on Voyage, Barbra Streisand and Jessie J, all of whom have dropped from higher positions since last week.
