‘So Calm’ is the latest offering from Brighton based Cave Painting, and it could be their best yet. The repetitive chorus of ‘feel so calm in the way your are’ sung in beautiful harmonies coupled with instrumental sections work perfectly, giving off a festival vibe (and I have no doubt that this will be a festival favourite come next summer!).
The music video, however, doesn’t really make sense to me. With a girl (kind of) drowning in a pool and various limbs half buried in a desert; it’s every hipster stereotype rolled into 4 minutes and 7 seconds. That being said, it’s all beautifully shot and works when you listen to the single alongside it.
