Rebecca Karijord is a singer songwriter from Norway. She has a distinctively eerie and somewhat ethereal quality to both her voice and song writing. Perhaps this follows the decision to release this new single ‘Use My Body While It’s Still Young’ around the time of Halloween.
The single is accompanied by a particularly disturbing video. At times there are hints that Rebecca is a darker version of the likes of Regina Spektor. This single is full of pounding rhythms and interesting musical layering and there is an unquestionable sense of drive throughout the song. Rebecca’s vocals perfectly compliment the harsh and quirky percussion used throughout. The culmination of all these factors creates a delightfully unique and downright quirky single that should be the soundtrack to all Halloween festivities.
