The British band have announced that they will play two outdoor shows in Finsbury Park, London in May next year. The shows, which will have a 50,000 capacity, will take place on Friday 23rd and Saturday 24th May 2014. They will be joined by Tame Impala, Miles Kane and Royal Blood as support.
The band recently had to reschedule several UK tour dates due to illness as frontman Alex Turner was suffering from laryngitis. Dates in Birmingham, Sheffield and Glasgow had to be postponed.
Details of Arctic Monkey’s biggest ever US show were also announced recently. They will play New York’s Madison Square Gardens next year. Their tour of America begins in February 2014, with performances in twelve cities. The tour will begin in Miami and end in Minneapolis, with Deerhunter supporting the band when they play in Boston and New York.
Arctic Monkeys’ fifth studio album AM topped the UK charts after its release in September.
