Union Films have announced the films which they will show in the spring semester.
The student cinema, based on the third level of the students’ union building will show over 30 films before the start of the Easter holidays in April.
The first film to be shown will be Filth on Tuesday (7th), with showings of Philomena, Escape Plan, Enough Said, and Dreamworks’ Turbo later in the month.
In February there will be 3D and 2D screenings of Thor 2 and the blockbuster Gravity which features Sandra Bullock and George Clooney. The story of Mary Poppins’ making, Saving Mr. Banks will also be shown, alongside other hugely popular cinema releases including Captain Phillips, Don Jon, and The Butler.
More films will be projected in 3D throughout March, including Frozen, The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug and Walking With Dinosaurs. Other screenings which will be available range from Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom, to both Anchorman films, Last Vegas and American Hustle.
During the semester there will also be Day of Disney and Indiana Jones movie marathons. The full schedule can be found here.
Tickets for showings at Union Films cost £3, while a Spring Pass is priced at £15. Tickets and passes are both available through the SUSU Box Office.
