Lana Del Rey will premiere her new single on BBC Radio 1 on Monday.
‘West Coast’ will receive its first play on Fearne Cotton’s Radio 1 show between 10am and 11am on Monday 14th April. The announcement was made this morning by Annie Mac who is currently presenting Cotton’s show while she is away.
The track is the first single to be taken from her new album Ultraviolence, which follows up her highly acclaimed 2012 album Born To Die, which has sold over four million copies worldwide, to date. The artwork for the single was unveiled yesterday.
The 27-year-old will perform at California’s Coachella Festival this Sunday, and is also scheduled to take to the stage at this year’s Glastonbury Festival.
Rumours about the release of Ultraviolence have been rife since she told fans during a meet and greet to expect her new album on 1st May, but then appeared to backtrack on the claim. No official release date has been announced by her record label.
Meanwhile, a new track from Del Rey, ‘Meet Me In The Pale Moonlight‘, leaked last week, which is thought to have been recorded in the studio sessions for Ultraviolence.
