Kasabian have premiered their upcoming single on Zane Lowe’s BBC Radio One show. The track is entitled ‘Eez-eh’ and is said to be “very Leicester”.
The single is to be the first slice taken from their upcoming fifth studio album, 48:13. A title which initially seems somewhat ambiguous, the meaning behind the title is the literal running time of the whole 13-track album.
The three-minute song contains lyrics such as: ‘If you want to, I’ll take you out. I got the feeling that I’m gonna keep you up all night.’ The lyrics and overall sound of the track display the new “direct” and “distilled” sound of 48:13.
Kasabian, the band that has delivered three number one albums, were also confirmed as an act at this year’s BBC Radio 1’s Big Weekend which takes place in Glasgow. The band are also confirmed as one of Glastonbury’s headliners this coming June.
