La Roux has revealed a new track entitled ‘Tropical Chancer’. The song is clearly disco-influenced and echoes similar sounds to Daft Punk’s 2013 number one hit, ‘Get Lucky’.
The new track follows from La Roux’s upcoming album’s lead single, ‘Uptight Downtown’, as well as her first release after her musical-hiatus, ‘Let Me Down Gently’, which was a promotional track.
The new album is entitled Trouble in Paradise, a follow-up to the synth-pop’s self-titled debut album, which reached number two on its release back in 2009.
As well as revealing this new track, La Roux also recently revealed the accompanying video to ‘Let Me Down Gently’, 2014 tour dates and the track listing to her second studio album.
Trouble in Paradise will be release 7th July in UK via Polydor. Listen to the latest slice of the album below.
