The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies has received its first trailer, which premiered this evening.
The film, which is directed by Peter Jackson, is the finale of the trilogy which began in 2012 with An Unexpected Journey and continued with The Desolation of Smaug last year. The trilogy is based on the book by J. R. R. Tolkien., entitled The Hobbit.
The Battle of the Five Armies sees The Company of Thorin reach Smaug’s lair, and discovers whether or not Bilbo and the Dwarves can reclaim Erebor and the treasure.
The new film stars the likes of Martin Freeman, Benedict Cumberbatch, Cate Blanchett, Orlando Bloom and Ian McKellen.
The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five will be released in the UK on the 12th December this year. Watch the new trailer below.
