Calvin Harris has jumped to number one with his most recent musical endeavour with John Newman with their track ‘Blame’. The song follows from ‘Summer’, which was released earlier this year, with both tracks featuring on Harris’ upcoming album which has yet been titled. ‘Blame’ is now part of Harris’ impressive discography, with other number ones such as ‘Sweet Nothing’ and ‘Under Control’.

As a result, Lilly Wood and Robin Schulz drop down to second place, with Sam Smith jumping two places with his latest single, ‘I’m Not The Only One’, which sits in third place. Making up the rest of the top ten is Taylor Swift, Iggy Azalea, Ten Walls, 5 Seconds of Summer, The Script, MAGIC! and Chris Brown, with the latter being a new entry which features both Usher and Rick Ross, finishing this week’s prestigious top ten.

Elsewhere in the singles chart sees only one other new entry with Fall Out Boy’s latest single, ‘Centuries’. This week’s biggest fall is awarded to Oliver $ & Jimi Jules who tumble 24 places down to 39th, with their track ‘Pushing On’.

In the album chart, Sam Smith keeps his place at number one with the rest of the top ten consisting of Robert Plant, Ed Sheeran, Royal Blood, George Ezra, Ryan Adams, Bob Marley & The Wailers, Paolo Nutini, Interpol and Collabro. The rest of the album chart is littered with new entries, from The Kooks’ Listen at 16 to BANKS début album, Goddess, entering at 20.
