This upcoming week sees the release of Jessie J’s third studio album, Sweet Talker. With the album’s lead single, ‘Bang Bang’, topping the UK charts, it looks like Sweet Talker may match the success of the singer-songwriter’s debut album as opposed to her forgetful second record. Elsewhere, Charli XCX returns with a follow-up track to ‘Boom Clap’ and Kevin Morby releases his second solo album Still Life.

Jessie J – Sweet Talker
Jessie J’s third studio album is released next Monday, serving as a follow-up to 2013’s Alive. The 2013 album spawned the hit singles ‘Wild’ and ‘It’s My Party’, but didn’t quite match the commercial success of the singer-songwriter’s debut album, which sold over a million copies in the UK alone. Sweet Talker‘s lead single, ‘Bang Bang’, was recently released in the UK and debuted at number one, making it Jessie J’s third track to top the UK charts following ‘Domino’ and ‘Price Tag’. Following this huge success of ‘Bang Bang’, will Sweet Talker match the popularity of Jessie J’s debut, Who You Are? Listen to the latest cut from the album below.
Kevin Morby – Still Life
Previously the bassist of Woods and both songwriter and guitarist of The Babies, Kevin Morby returns this week with his second full-length solo album. Still Life is said to reflect the transitional stage of Morby’s life and career as he made the move from New York to Los Angeles to focus on his solo work. The first single from the upcoming album titled ‘Parade’ reflects the general vibe of what Still Life has to offer, as Morby croons ‘if you come to find out who you are, I know you find out‘. Morby’s sophomore album Still Life is out on the 14th via Woodsist Records. Check out the video for ‘All Of My Life’ below.

Charli XCX – ‘Break the Rules’
Charli XCX returns this weekend with ‘Break the Rules’, her follow-up to her hit single, ‘Boom Clap’, which featured on the soundtrack for The Fault in Our Stars. The English singer-songwriter recently shot to fame via commercially successful collaborations: ‘I Love It’ and ‘Fancy’. The former reaching number one in the UK and the latter topping the US charts. As a result, Charli XCX has become famous globally in her own right, with ‘Boom Clap’ entering the top ten in the UK and US. ‘Break The Rules’ is taken from her upcoming third studio album, Sucker. With Charli XCX’s debut album not charting and her second album peaking at 85, Sucker is looking to become her most successful album yet.
