Culture Club have announced their upcoming comeback single, entitled ‘More Than Silence’.
The new track will mark the band’s first release in over 15 years and will feature on their upcoming album, Tribes, due for release in the early part of 2015.
When discussing the single, Boy George said: “Artists make complicated lovers because they always need an audience. I always say ‘silence is the loudest sound in the universe’. A blue moon in a lonely sky.
“Roy [guitarist] always wanted to rock out a little. I think we finally created a song which gives him the opportunity.”
The new single, which will be available to buy on iTunes from tomorrow (4th November), and its subsequent album release will be supported by a tour in December, consisting of eleven dates and featuring Alison Moyet as a special guest.
The band have been behind the likes of the iconic tracks ‘Karma Chameleon’ and ‘Church of the Poison Mind’ and were a key figure in the New Romanticism movement.
