Monday 3rd
D12: Deriving from Detroit in the United States and originally comprising of rappers and MCs Bizarre, Kuniva, Swifty McVay, Fuzz Scoota, Mr. Porter, multi-platinum and multi-award winning artist Eminem, as well as the late Bugz and Proof, D12 will be at the O2 Academy in Islington. To date the group have release two albums in the form of Devil’s Night and D12 World since their formation in 1996. Bizarre had confirmed that the group have been working on their as of yet unnamed third album, with Eminem confirmed to feature on at least three tracks. Tuesday 4th
Deaf Havana: Norfolk-based alternative rockers Deaf Havana will be in Plymouth to play The Hub with support from The Gospel Youth. The six-piece are currently working on a new studio album to follow on from their success with Old Souls which was released back in 2013. Deaf Havana have been championed by many industry stalwarts over the past few years, but particularly by BBC Radio 1 and their former presenter Zane Lowe, who featured their single ‘Boston Square’ as his hottest record in the world in May 2013. Wednesday 5th
NERO: Comprising of Daniel Stephens, Joe Ray and Alana Watson, NERO are an electric music trio from London. They will be playing in the capital at the Village Underground. The group have won numerous prestigious awards in the electronic dance and dubstep world, including Best Album at the UK Dubstep Music Awards for Welcome Reality in 2011, as well as Best International Dubstep Act at the North America Dubstep Music Awards a year later. The group also won a Grammy in 2013 in the Best Remixed Recording category for their work on ‘Promises’ alongside Skrillex. Thursday 6th
Little Comets: An English indie-rock trio from Jarrow and Washington in Newcastle-upon-Tyne, Little Comets will be coming to Southampton to play at The Joiners. The band released their third studio album in February earlier this year, Hope Is Just a State of Mind, which reached their highest charting placement when it peaked at number seven in the UK album charts. The band have been able to establish an upbeat, groovy sound that is certain to get a crammed Joiners crowd bopping up and down for the duration of their performance. Friday 7th
Don Broco: An alternative rock four-piece from Bedford, Don Broco will be at the Hoxton Square Bar & Kitchen in London. As an added bonus with this particular venue, if you bring your ticket between 5pm-7pm you can get 25% off food at The Circle Pizza Co. at the Hoxton Square Bar & Kitchen – who doesn’t love cheap pizza?! This year has been a relatively big one for Don Broco, making various festival appearances this summer as well as headlining the annual Kerrang! Tour earlier this year. Saturday 8th
Broken Links: Playing industrial rock with under-currents of post-punk and new wave, Broken Links are as melodic and hook laden as they are dark and haunting. Atmospheric guitars, melancholic vocals and electronic soundscapes form a musical vehicle for psychoanalytical and emotionally complex lyrical themes, resulting in a dark and powerful aural experience. The band will this year be releasing their second studio album. The three-piece will be arriving on the south coast to play at Southampton’s prestigious venue The Joiners.
