Following the release of Spot The Difference, an album of newly recorded versions of older material in August 2010, New wave musicians Squeeze are embarking on a series of dates across the UK, stopping off in Southampton on December 6th. With the Lightning Seeds in tow, this is sure to be an outstanding show.
Spot The Difference does exactly what it says on the tin. The album consists of classic Squeeze songs painstakingly reproduced in such a fashion that fans are invited to ‘spot the difference’ from the original versions, and although the tracks on the album are purposely different from the sound Squeeze have been known for in the 70s, you wont find too much has changed in their performance. Lively, fun, and as charming as ever, Squeeze are going to be a true delight.
And although football WON’T be coming home in 2018, The Lightening Seeds WILL be gracing the city alongside the quintet, and will be bringing Three Lions with them. Expect all the classic hits from the Liverpudlian quintet, who are sure to brighten up any December evening.
