“We’re immensely proud of this record, we feel it is the best thing we’ve done so far. And can’t wait to share it all with you”.
Southampton musician Seán McGowan delivers his acoustic music in a folk/protest/punk style, described suitably as “The People’s Music”, also the title of his next E.P (debut E.P, ‘McGovernment’ was released late 2011).
With clear influences from artists such as Billy Bragg, The Clash and The Jam, Seán recently won a national competition to support Shed Seven at the O2 Academy in Bournemouth and was also Absolute Radio’s ‘Unsigned Act Of The Week’. So, an artist to watch, which is exactly what you can go and do on 10th November at The Joiners Arms, Southampton folk!
Seán will be supported by an excellent collection of artists; Rob The Liar , 13th Floor as well as Beans on Toast, who has had a busy summer of festivals and playing at Wembley and who has said about Seán “I fucking love this guy!”
Tickets are only £5 in advance and can be bought here. http://www.joinerslive.co.uk/product.php?xProd=1732&xSec=1. Get them fast before they’re gone. Seán assures you “It’s the best fiver you’ll ever spend … second to one of those ‘BCO’ meals McDonalds got on the go at the minute”.
Southampton University Alternative and Indie Music society will be doing a social to this gig. You can join the event here. https://www.facebook.com/events/222510694538413/?fref=ts
There will of course be an after-party at Lennons.
