Dominic Maker and Kai Campos, better known as electronic duo Mount Kimbie, will be heading to Brighton Concorde on Wednesday 6th November. Mount Kimbie first received critical acclaim with the release of their debut album Crooks and Lovers in 2010. The due made a name for themselves due to their ability to create and explore new sounds within the electronic genre of post dubstep, resulting in an ambient and unique sound.
Following on from the success of their debut album, Mount Kimbie released earlier this year their second album Cold Spring Fault Less Youth. This album also garnered them wide spread critical attention, cementing their status as one of the most talented duos in electronic music.
Mount Kimbie have collaborated with many well known faces in the past, including Mercury Prize winner James Blake. This second album features two collaborations with King Krule on the tracks ‘You Took Your Time’ and ‘Meter, Pale, Tone’.
Those going to the gig can expect to hear Mount Kimbie’s signature experimental ambient sounds and a mixture of both live and electronic instruments.
After embarking on the American leg of their autumn tour, Mount Kimbie will be touring all over the UK. Tickets are available here.
