There are no sweeter words in the English language than ‘free gig’. This is exactly what Oxfam Music Southampton are offering at The Cellar on Friday 21st March as a thank you for the continued support of both the shop and the charity.
The lineup is one not to be missed. The Cellar will be playing host to some of Southampton’s finest student musicians. On the bill are afrobeat band The Sea Slugs. To find out more about The Sea Slugs check out our review here.
Also on the bill are Bel Espirit. A four piece Southampton based indie rock band. Bel Espirit have previously supported the likes of To Kill A King and have been described by Forksterrocks as a band with a ‘deep and unique quality sound’. Bel Espirit will be joined by Tenderlore, a folk trio, who have recently supported Frankie Cocozza and his band The Telescreen at Unit.
Last but not least, Happy Accidents are set to play. Happy Accidents describe themselves as a band that deliver ‘totally radical tunes’ . The gig looks set to be a great evening that showcases local talent and is completely free entry. If you fancy an evening packed full of exciting new music for absolutely nothing then look no further than The Cellar. To find out more check out the Facebook event here.
