Bringing together the best of underground music from the UK and beyond, the award-winning 2000trees Festival takes place from Thursday 10th to Saturday 12th July at Upcote Farm, Withington, near Cheltenham.
Created by a group of six friends who had grown tired of the rampant commercialism of the major festival market, they decided to produce an alternative which would not only be far more affordable than the country’s big hitters, but also maintain a sense of community through the festival’s small 5,000 capacity and by sourcing from local suppliers every step of the way.
The line up is an eclectic mix of indie, punk, post rock and folk, lovingly curated by the 2000trees team. This year already features Southampton’s very own Band of Skulls, Dan le Sac vs. Scroobius Pip, Public Service Broadcasting, The Bronx, Jamie Lenman, Kids in Glass Houses, Wolf Alice, DZ Deathrays, Maybeshewill, Arcane Roots, Darlia, Lonely the Brave, Andy Oliveri, Ben Marwood and many more, with headliners still to be announced.
So, if you’re tired of being herded about by security in the arena, having to break the laws of physics to squeeze your tent on to a patch of grass at the campsite, and paying £200+ for the privilege, perhaps 2000trees should be the new fixture of your summer calendar.
Weekend tickets cost £75, including camping on Friday and Saturday. Thursday Early Entry tickets cost £15. Buy here. For full line up info and more, click here.
