Fresh off their US tour with Frank Turner, Australian punk rock four-piece The Smith Street Band will be gracing the Southampton Joiners’ stage on Thursday, alongside Restorations and ASTPAI, plus recently announced special guests Apologies, I Have None. This will be the last date of The Smith Street Band’s UK tour before they head to Europe so it is not to be missed!
“We play heaps of shows and tour lots because it’s fun'” say The Smith Street Band guys on their Facebook page, and who can argue with that? They’ve certainly been busy racking up their air-miles with their US, UK, Europe and Australian tour dates (Australia will be in August/September), in the name of some energetic and enjoyable shows. They last year released a 10-inch EP on Poison City Records entitled “Don’t Fuck With Our Dreams”, and have two albums out on the same label, Sunshine & Technology and No One Gets Lost Anymore, and a 7″ on Jackknife, South East Facing Wall.
The event has been organised by WrongWayRound PunkRock in collaboration with The Joiners venue. Tickets are £7.50 on the door and can be purchased here.
