Atlanta quintet Manchester Orchestra are back with a fourth album and they’re headed to the UK. Portsmouth kicks off a tour that promises to reinvigorate the bare bones of alternative rock. If you were a fan of their previous album ‘Simple Math’, then you’ll be in for a shock. COPE, released April 1st, contrasts the former placid vibes with a high energy celebration of drums and guitar. It’s a dynamic and powerful dose of poetry that reflects the intense and vibrant performances the band are famous for.
Joining them will be fellow Favourite Gentlemen label mate Kevin Devine & the Goddamn Band and Bad Books, a collaborative project from Devine and Manchester Orchestra’s Andy Hull. The band will visit some of the biggest cities in the UK, including Bristol, Manchester, and culminating in London at the 02 Shepherds Bush.
Having previously shared a stage with bands such as Blink 182 and My Chemical Romance, Manchester Orchestra are a band to watch.
Tickets are available for all UK tour dates here.
