London-based modern soul collective Jungle will be embarking on a UK tour throughout February and March 2015 following the release of their 2014 Mercury Prize-nominated debut album Jungle.
With their signature psychedelic 1970’s funk style, the band have created a unique sound and image for themselves leading to their truly deserved tidal wave of success.
Founded by Tom McFarland and Josh Lloyd-Watson, the duo were simply known as ‘T & J’ as they kept their identities hidden for quite some time whilst releasing singles ‘Platoon’ and ‘Busy Earnin”, even keeping up their enigmatic personae at live performances. The band played at a host of festivals last year: Glastonbury, Reading and Leeds and Latitude as well as supporting Pharell Williams at London’s Roundhouse for iTunes Festival.
The band will play a total of 11 dates beginning in Portsmouth and ending their tour in Norwich. Jungle will also visit Dublin, Oxford and Brighton on their way. Their London show at Camden’s Roundhouse has now sold out, promising a full, energetic crowd.
At time of print, news of a support act has not yet been announced
