Hackney rapper Professor Green will be performing at SUSU’s Garden Court, as part of his 10 date university tour.
Having previously worked with many British stars such as Example, Emeli Sandé and Labrinth, it’s safe to say Green is a huge name in the UK rap and and hip hop scene. Green first hit the public eye after winning the MySpace rap battle tournament in 2008, and subsequently touring with Lily Allen. But he first rose to fame with his single “I Need You Tonight” from his 2010 debut album “Alive Till I’m Dead”. Often touching on very personal subjects such as his father’s suicide, family issues and his girlfriend, Green has since released two more albums “At Your Inconvenience” and “Growing Up In Public”. Having had 9 UK top 40 singles, Green will have plenty in the bank to get the crowd going, including UK Number 1 “Read All About It”.
Support will be provided by fellow Hackney rapper Mikill Payne, best known for his work with Ed Sheeran, and newcomers PROSE.
