Thrashy skate punk three piece Gnarwolves will be hardflipping their way onto the stage at Joiners in late April. The Brighton gents – Thom Weeks, vocals and guitar; Charlie Piper, vocals and bass; Max Weeks, drums – have been touring Australia in support of punk rock band Luca Brasi, rounding off the tour in Perth before flying back to start their own UK tour.
Last year saw the band release two records: their compilation album Chronicles of Gnarnia, which compiles tracks from the band’s first three EP’s (Fun Club, CRU and Funemployed); and the eponymously titled full length released in September. Gnarwolves, the album, was well received by critics, continuing the chain of success that had been started by their second and third EP’s in 2012 and 2013 respectively.
Gnarwolves had a productive 2014 in terms of live dates a well, opening as support for blink-182 on the Italian leg of their tour as well as opening the stage at Reading and Leeds Festival. In October 2014 the band went on their first ever tour of the USA alongside The Story So Far, The Wonder Years and Modern Baseball, all heavy hitters in the realm of pop-punk.
Joining the fray will be fellow alternative punk rock groups The Smith Street Band and Drug Church.
