T in the Park 2015 will be the Scottish festival’s 21st year; moving from its previous home at a Kinross airfield to a new venue at Strathallan Castle, where a 3000-year-old roundhouse has just been discovered during building preparations. The festival is shaping up to be a weekend as colourful and fun as its namesake.
Tickets are available both for individual days or for the whole weekend, with a huge diversity of acts across six stages that will surely please any festival goer. On Friday headliners Kasabian, David Guetta and Sam Smith will play the Main Stage, with the whole day boasting both festival regulars as well as T in the Park newcomers, including Hozier and Lucy Rose.
Saturday’s top billed acts include The Libertines and Avicii, though the day will be a busy one, and they may have to vie for attention alongside the likes of Alt-J, George Ezra, Jessie J and The Proclaimers. Sunday closes the weekend with The Prodigy, Sterophonics and Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds, plus Paloma Faith, Clean Bandit and Modest Mouse, to name a few.
For time away from the hustle and bustle of the stages, the festival has a fairground and its chilled out ‘Healthy T’ area, with over 30 vendors serving local food. And, of course, Fancy Dress Friday – although this year’s theme has yet to be announced.
T in the Park runs from Friday July 10th to Sunday July 12th. Day and weekend tickets are available, with standard camping and the rather heavenly pre-assembled and kitted Tangerine Fields camping pitches.
