Fresh faced from the Isle of Wight festival in June, Feeder are set to take the stage at Portsmouth Pyramids on the 13th October as part of their recently announced UK tour, returning after a four-year hiatus.
The Welsh-born alt-rock veterans, having just announced the release of their ninth studio album All Bright Electric set for the 30th September this year, have reached and maintained critical acclaim throughout their many years navigating the alt-rock stratosphere. Being propelled into major popularity with their hit single ‘Buck Rogers’ all the way back in 2001, Feeder have since accumulated twenty-five top-75 singles between 1997 and 2012 and have spent a total of over 180 weeks on the singles and albums charts, and have amassed a pretty dedicated fanbase while they were at it too.
Significantly, their most recent single, ‘Universe of Life’ has gathered acclaim from critics and fans alike. Praised for its punchy chorus and gritty guitar riffs, it is the first single to be released from their upcoming album. Frontman Grant Nicholas said of All Bright Electric that they “wanted the album to really capture Feeder’s heart and soul. For us the journey the music takes the listener on is still so important, and that is what still drives me to make the best music we can.”
