American metal band Alter Bridge are set to return to the UK for their first large-scale arena tour, in support of their upcoming fifth album The Last Hero.
Alter Bridge have developed a large and passionate fan base in the UK over the past decade and an arena tour of this size is the perfect step up from their previous dates. Last time round Alter Bridge played two shows at Wembley Arena in 2011 (after third album AB III) and in 2013 (in support of their fourth album Fortress). The band have also played numerous times at Download Festival having most recently gone on second from last on the main stage in 2014.
Through their unique sound, extensive touring and strong connection to their fans, Alter Bridge have quickly become one of metal’s best and most popular bands. Having formed after the disbanding of Creed in 2004, previous members Mark Tremonti (guitar), Brian Marshall (bass) and Scott Phillips (drums) formed Alter Bridge with former The Mayfield Four vocalist Myles Kennedy and released their debut album, entitled One Day Remains, in 2004. The album charted at number five on the Billboard 200 and has sold almost one million copies worldwide. Since then each of their albums have opened in the top 20 on the Billboard 200 stateside and the top 40 here in the UK, with Fortress charting at number six and earning the band stellar reviews.
In support of the band are Danish rockers Volbeat, French metal band Gojira and New Zealand rockers Like a Storm, the evening promises to be a face-melting, fist-pumpingly awesome night of rock n’ roll. This isn’t one to miss for fans of hard rock.
They will be touring from November 23rd-December 2nd. Tickets are on sale here.
