After a busy festival season, upcoming rapper Loyle Carner will be gracing London with his presence at an already sold out gig on 5th October at KOKO in Camden.
With the recent release of NO CD, Loyle Carner has been tipped for success by the likes of NME and DIY magazine, whilst also gaining support from Kate Tempest, whom he toured with and collaborated with on single ‘Guts’. The artist also featured on the longlist for BBC’s Sound of 2016 alongside up and coming artists Izzy Bizu, Rat Boy and Dua Lipa, aligning his musical with some of the most hotly anticipated acts of the coming year and some of the best received at UK festivals over the last few months.
More recent spotlight upon this artist has come from a somewhat more unusual place. Loyle Carner has been teaching young people with ADHD in South London to cook. In association with GOMA (the Get Stuffed Catering Company), he set up ‘Chili Con Carner’ helping young people with whom he shares the condition. Since cooking helped him to cope, he wanted to pass it on to others.
In addition to his caring nature, this artist puts other aspects of his personality into his music, with lyrics that are sincere, honest and poetic. Loyle Carner is definitely one to watch.
