Jack Garrat is a British singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Little Chalfont, Buckinghamshire. On 28 October 2014, Jack released his first extended play, Remnants, and a remix EP, Remnix. His 2014 single “Worry” was playlisted by BBC Radio 1, and he headlined the BBC Introducing stage of the Reading and Leeds Festivals. Jack supported Mumford and Sons on their 2015 UK tour. His second EP, Synesthesiac, was released via Interscope in spring of 2015. Garratt is already a fairly established artist and is making waves through the music industry, he was the winner of the Critics’ Choice category at the 2016 Brit Awards, BBC Sound Poll of 2016 and is on MTV’s Brand New 2016 shortlist. He released his debut studio album Phase on 19 February 2016 and is currently on tour.
The singer combines electric guitar, drum machines, keyboards to produce a fresh electro-pop sound and there is quite a lot of experimentation and diversification evidently present in his music. If you’re a fan of Chet Faker or Honne you might really like his sound. Songs to definitely check out include ‘Worry’, ‘The Love You’re Given’ and ‘Fire’.
