Olly Murs is launching a national tour next March to celebrate the release of his fifth album, 24HRS, as well as its lead singles ‘You Don’t Know Love’ and ‘Grow Up’. Since his X Factor appearance in 2009, where he finished runner up to Joe McElderry, Murs has gone from strength to strength with four top three UK albums, three of which also claimed Number 1. His fourth album, Never Been Better, has gone twice platinum with sales of over 700,000. Added to this is four UK no. 1s on the UK Singles Chart, as well as a further eight singles in the top 20.
Murs is reknowned for his unique cheepy-chappy personality which appeals to a wide target audience: he as an authentic charecter that makes his music and personality endearing. The tour will cover some of the biggest venues in the UK including London O2, Cardiff Motorpoint and the three-day leg at Birmingham’s Genting Arena from the 23-25th March. As well as tracks from the new album, the tour is set to include some of his most noticeable material including ‘Dance with Me Tonight’ and ‘Heart Skips A Beat’. Murs’ previous tours have been critically acclaimed and although his brief spell as X Factor presenter was not succesful, he is bound to get back on track with the new tour.
