Hailed as one of the greatest rock and metal festivals worldwide, Download has released another wave of its line-up for the return of the festival in June next year.

Punk icon Billy Idol is among the latest release of names, and will be returning to the festival for the first time since 2010; he’s said, “It was a fantastic experience playing … in the teeming rain with the audience completely unfazed. So if that was fun, this year should be dynamite!”

In a return from their hiatus next year, Lamb of God also join the line-up – only adding fuel to the album rumours surrounding them currently.

Alongside these names, revellers can look forward to seeing Black Veil Brides and Rise Against, both of whom are excited to return. Black Veil Brides said, “We are absolutely honoured to once again have the opportunity to play on rock’s biggest stage! We’ve always had a blast and we are looking to make our third time the best one yet!” while Tim McIlrath of Rise Against said, “The fest always puts together one of the best and heaviest line-ups in the UK and we’re pretty damn ready to get muddy with the best of them.”

Other names to join the line-up include Grammy-nominees Godsmack, Eagles of Death Metal, Mallory Knox, Clutch, DragonForce, Hollywood Undead, Body Count, Every Time I Die and Parkway Drive.

Download 2015 will take place on June 12th – 14th next year. Weekend tickets start at £170 and are available here
