TV channel Dave to rebrand as David to launch Hoff the Record

Dave will rebrand as ‘David’ on 18th June, to mark the launch of new series Hoff the Record. The spoof reality series stars David Hasselhoff as a fictionalised version of himself, hoping to salvage his showbiz career in the UK.

The first episode will air on Thursday, 18th June at 9pm and a second series has already been commissioned. “There is a second series, which is really a testament to UKTV and Dave,” said Hasselhoff last night  at a launch for the show. “I want to thank those guys, because they took the shot. The best part is now we get a second season – and it’s only going to get better!

Of the channel rebranding in his honour, Hasselhoff added: “I think it’s fun – I think the Dave channel’s cool.

When I started watching Dave, I saw lots of shows like Top Gear – and then I saw Top Gear, and then I saw another episode of Top Gear. I now know every gear of every car ever. Hopefully this means they’ll air our show again and again!

Hoff The Record is set to air over the summer of 2015.
