Beyoncé reportedly in talks for role in Marvel’s Avengers

Beyoncé is reportedly in talks to play a superhero in a forthcoming Marvel movie.

The 33-year old Houston native is apparently being sought after to play a role in a future Avengers movie. The Marvel franchise is set to return in 2018 and 2019 for a two-part superhero extravaganza entitled, Avengers: Infinity War, Parts 1 And 2.

The ‘Single Ladies’ singer last appeared on the big screen in the 2009 thriller, Obsessed. A senior Disney executive is said to have stated: “We would love to have Beyoncé on board, almost certainly as a newcomer to the screen from Marvel’s existing catalogue of comic book characters.

There is already wide speculation about which comic character the singer might play, with possible suggestions including Boom-Boom, Blink, Tigra and the female Hawkeye, Kate Bishop.

A role within the Avengers franchise would see the singer join an already all-star cast, led by Robert Downey Jr, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Jeremy Renner, and Elizabeth Olsen.
