Will Smith and DJ Jazzy Jeff are set to go on a full world tour next summer.
Speaking to Zane Lowe on his Apple Radio show Beats 1, Smith said: “I’m pretty certain I’m going on tour. Jeff and I actually never have done a full tour!”
Smith’s last album came was 2005’s Lost and Found. Earlier this week, Smith made a small resurgence to the music world after featuring in a collaboration with Bomba Estereo called ‘Fiesta’. During his interview with Lowe, the actor revealed that he has 30 new songs recorded and that there are “six or seven that I really, really like, that I’m trying to get the ideas to come out right.”
The star also remarked that his appearance on the nineties’ comedy series The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air and the making of subsequent blockbuster films has prevented him from going on a music tour. Before his film career took off, he and long-time collaborator DJ Jazzy Jeff released five albums together from 1987-1993, winning a Grammy for their hit ‘Summertime.’
