David Lynch to publish memoir in 2017

Critically-acclaimed director David Lynch is in the process of penning a new book, which has been described as both a biography and a memoir.

The Guardian has reported that Lynch’s book will be entitled Life and Work, and will be written in collaboration with journalist Kristine McKenna.

The book is set to include autobiographical pieces of writing from Lynch, and also background information from McKenna including interviews from “about 90 of Mr Lynch’s friends, family members, former wives and artistic collaborators, including actors, agents, and musicians.”

Lynch has recently commented on the project, stating: “There’s a lot of bullsh*t out there about me, in books and all over the internet. I want to get all of the right information in one place, so if someone wants to know something, they can find it here. And I wouldn’t do it with anyone other than Kristine; she and I go way back, and she gets it right.”

Life and Work is set to be published in 2017 by Canongate.
